Helping Hatton Garden thrive
The Garden Club is an initiative designed to help support and sustain the jewellery trade within Hatton Garden, by supporting them to make new business connections, assess their productivity and help them identify new clients. The project is funded by Camden Council Section 106 funding secured to support the future sustainability of the jewellery sector in Hatton Garden.
Centa (Camden Enterprises Ltd) is a Social Enterprise that has been working with businesses in Hatton Garden for over ten years. During that time, we have become committed to the health of the area, and seeing the trade based here survive and thrive.
The Garden Club project is led by Sally Leonard, who is a jeweller by trade, and a business consultant with over fifteen years of experience working with small businesses, helping them with a range of challenges including production, strategy, market positioning and customer profiling. We aim to help businesses reach new clients, access work and increase productivity.
One to one consultancy
How it works
Once you have filled out an application form and emailed it to us, we will get in contact with you to arrange a time to meet for an initial discussion about your business, what you want from the project and any particular issues that you are facing. Secure online notes are made during the sessions, which will be made available for you to read after the meeting so that you can re-visit the session content at any time.
What you can expect
The first meeting is a diagnostic session, where we go into more detail about the operation of your business and any issues that you may be facing. At the end of this session, there will be work that you will be required to do in preparation for the next meeting to help your business progress. Sessions typically last 1-2 hours, depending on what needs to be covered and will usually take place at our Hatton Garden offices, and will have follow up work and/or research that you will be required to complete before the following session.
Events, networking and connections
Our first event was held on the 28th November 2019, at the Castle pub in Farringdon and we've held a number of events since then, all in and around Hatton Garden.
Events are usually held every 6 weeks and are designed to help people within the industry connect with each other, in a more relaxed environment. Social events are a mixture of designers, manufacturers and allied trades. Join our mailing list and we can keep you up to date on upcoming events.

The Garden Club aims to help inform and support through a series of events that have a learning topic. These are either online, or in-person events, depending on the needs of members.
Eligibility Criteria
The Garden Club has been developed to help the jewellery industry in the Hatton Garden area to survive, and ideally thrive, so support is offered to those businesses who regularly use businesses in the area, as well as those based in and around Hatton Garden. To access support, our application requires a minumum of one trade contact, or a minimum of four suppliers that are used regularly to produce work on behalf of the applicant.
